Mariam (Greek), Miryam (Hebrew), Mary (English): ‘blessed
among women’ but ‘servant of YHWH’
It is indeed the highest honor to carry the Holy One of Israel (Luke 1:35), the Tetragrammaton YHWH, the
name that cannot be translated into any other language.
We known how another branch of Christianity kneels before the statue of the mother of Jesus, as if she would
have accepted to be worshipped. No one in Judaism, except YHWH, had ever been worshipped. YHWH
condemns idolatry without a need for a biblical reference.
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the Prophets, the Apostles can never accept to be worshipped or be paid
obeisance or be knelt before. There is no need to cite biblical verses to support the rejection of idolatry in
Judaism.
Any so-called believer who believes or feels obligated to worship or kneel in front of the statue of Miryam,
Mariam, Mary in English, for any reason is in direct violation of the code of faith and behavior that is codified in
Moses.
Moses rejects all aspects of idolatry, the worship of any man or of any kind of graven image, even of Jesus
Himself.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the
Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also the holy thing which is begotten shall be called the
Son of God. (Luke 1:35 ASV)
There is none holy as Jehovah; For there is none besides thee, Neither is there any rock like our God. (1
Samuel 2:2 ASV)
Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art King of Israel. (John 1:49 ASV)
For Jehovah is our shield, yea, the Holy One of Israel our King. (Psalms 89:18 LITV)
For Jehovah is our judge; Jehovah is our lawgiver; Jehovah is our king; He will save us. (Isaiah 33:22 LITV)
Jehovah has turned off your judgments; He has turned away your enemy. Jehovah, the King of Israel, is in
your midst; you shall not fear evil any more. (Zephaniah 3:15 LITV)
